About Us
The Aims and objects of the Trust are to promote education of all types and grades among the people in general and in particular amongst the backward communities in the rural areas.The Annai Veilankanni’s Educational and Cultural Society was established in the year 1988 with the aim of providing good educational facilities to the people of the area; cater to the needs of the poor and to serve the society in general through charitable deeds. Our Trust is registered as a Society under Tamil nadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 (Registered as No. 182 of 82). The purpose of starting B. Sc., Degree Course in Nursing (Basic) is to train and develop professional nursing personnel with sound scientific background in order to render service effectively and efficiently and to meet the challenges in Nursing in Indian and international scenario.

The Annai Veilankanni’s Educational and Cultural Society is a Charitable educational organization established in 1988 by the Industrialist and Educationist Dr.S.Devaraj Tamil Nadu with the noble aim of promoting technical, medical and management education and training of personnel to meet the technical, managerial and health needs of the country. At present the Society is running the following institutions:
Future Plan
- To start Pc B.Sc(N).
- To start M.Sc(N) upgrading all the departments and improving research committee activities specially in rural health services for standardization in national and international level.
- To start Ph.D in Nursing.
- To open 100 bedded hospital within the campus in near future.
- To enhance the seats in both Diploma in Nursing & B.Sc (N).

Our Philosophy
- The management of the Annai Veilankanni's Educational and Cultural Society founded by Dr. Devaraj in the year 1988 has progressed steadily in its pursuit of excellence. Annai Veilankanni's College of Nursing believes that the education offered in this institution should enable the students to serve the sick with a tender and compassionate heart.
- We believe in providing nursing education based and built on scientific principles and sound educational theory and practice, in order to prepare professionally qualified nurses, who will be able to give comprehensive nursing care and function as team members in all health care spheres.

Objectives of Educational Programme
The aim of the course is to select students with potential for professional Nursing and provide the needed environment and experience
- To develop an understanding of the biological and behavioral Sciences applied in meeting the Nursing needs of individual patients and acquire ability to plan and implement it in care of the sick, prevention of disease, promotion of health, rehabilitation and in meeting emergency situations in co-operation with others.
- To develop understanding and ability to use communication skills effectively and maintain a good interpersonal relationship.
- To create an understanding of the Nurse's individual responsibility as a member of society and as a member of nursing profession and ability to participate in changing needs of the society.
- To develop an appreciation and awareness of the need for continuing education for growth and development of self and profession.
- To develop an understanding of nursing with a view to generate new perspectives and innovative approaches to deal with problems encountered in nursing and health field.
- To equip the students with sound theoretical knowledge by integrating other science subjects like behavioral science and biological science
