Infrastructure

The College which is planned exclusively for nursing education, boasts of independent and elegant buildings for academic and hostel purposes, which depict architectural excellence both in aesthetics and space utilization. The infrastructure includes unique facilities that provide a conducive atmosphere for a good learning and living experience.

The college building contains a well furnished Principal’s suite, Vice-Principal’s office, administrative wing, faculty rooms, spacious nine lecture halls, a conference room a well stocked library with a large collection of books, and an extension to the hostel, journals and internet facilities and Xeroxing facility, a records room, audiovisual aids room, an auditorium with a capacity of 250 and a string of well equipped laboratories for pre-clinical training of practical skills in the subjects – Nursing foundations, Medical surgical nursing, Anatomy, Nutrition, Child health Nursing, Community health nursing and Obstetrics and Midwifery. Besides these the college also has well utilized computer laboratory with 20 computers and facilities for improving English language skills. A sports ground, indoor games facilities, and three college buses to transport students from the hostel to clinical areas outside the campus and back.

Faculty Positions

Both full time and part time faculties are selected with care and inducted as per the norms prescribed by Indian Nursing Council. Teams of qualified and well experienced faculty from Premier institutions assess, organize, plan, implement and evaluate the curriculum effectively and efficiently with the ambition of developing best care providers. The goal of the college is achieved by their dedicated service.

Curriculum

The revised curriculum recommended by Indian Nursing Council has been implemented from the academic year 2006-2007.

Students’ activities

Students are expected to participate in all the activities organized by the college such as NSS, Youth Red Cross programme.

Student Nurses Association (SNA)

Students are expected to be a member of SNA (TNAI – after the course) and participate in all the activities of SNA (cultural, vocational and educational). Fees to be paid as per TNAI rules.The talented students will be encouraged to participate in national and international levels with SNA fund.

Scholarship

The institution will extend all its co-operations and co-ordinations for availing loan / scholarship Government and other institutions.

Conduct and Discipline
  • Students are responsible to the principal for their behavior in the hostel as well as college.
  • Students are required to maintain ethical and professional standards and behaviors.
  • Students should make every effort to take care of the college and hostel property.
  • Students are required to aside by the rules and regulations laid by the hospital, hostel and college authorities.
Voluntary withdrawal

Students who voluntary withdraw given the college shall be required to pay the full fees for the entire programme. The fees already paid will not be refunded.
